Originating from Liverpool but resided in Cheshire since 1978. Worked for mainly large Corporate Companies before retiring and opening my own small business sourcing and selling fashion accessories, perfume and body products etc.
The name "Dans le Vent – Showcase of Fashion Accessories" came whilst on my first ever trip to Paris in 1997. I stated to my French friend that "la sac rouge" (the red handbag) was "a la mode" (in fashion). French friend looked at me with disgust and told me that "a French person would not use that expression Helene, they would say ‘dans le vent’".
When asked, 10 years later, what I would call my business the phrase jumped into my head and also the strap line to explain exactly what it was that the business was all about.
So in October 2007 "Dans le Vent" was born with the ethos of sourcing new and different items.
With a repeat customer base of 9-81 years of age, my range appeals to all.
